The menu is offering good choices for a healthy lunch. What I was expecting was a better service, but what is missing in service is covered by the variety of books.
It's a spacious and we'll lit book store. It transports you back to another place...New York or Oregon. It's so colorful and feels like you are in a different time. Plus there is a cafe inside with lunch and dinner as well as coffee and baked goods.
A great book store with great events. The cafe in the courtyard is relaxing and quaint. The pastries and food are great -- wine and beer only.
A wonderful place to stay and have a meal as well as to buy books. A large variety of books including children's literature. Surprisingly, they have some jewelries of Silver Sterling too.
Gotta love this place, in the dark ages of brick and mortar bookstores books & books has a great location, wonderful interior, an artful selection that makes hanging out here a pleasure. More than that they are a station on the author's circuit: odds are you can catch your favourite authors lecturing and signing their books here. The bar in the interior courtyard is a great place to get a drink or go on a date. The restaurant inside I have not tried. Furthernore they are expanding with a location in the Grove.
I love this independent bookstore (how I miss them bookstores!). It's built around an open-air courtyard with a pleasant café (good coffee, excellent live Jazz presentations). I particularly like the Staff Selections, highlighted books selected by employees (graceful notes on the shelves explain their recommendations). Very good selection of art and photography books and a good number of books in Spanish.
I love this place and definitely I will be coming back to.
