Took me two hours to get to this place. None of the phone numbers work. I came with my U.S. passport and ID just to pick up my Colombian ID and they would not give it to me because I didn't bring a Colombian document. I didn't the entire process to get my ID simply just went to pick it up and they wouldn't give it to me. They rather me bring an old expired Colombian passport than my accurate U.S. information. Horrible customer service.
Very efficient and good customer service. The store next to them offers photos and money order needed for the passport. Even had an ATM, the food was delicious. Public parking right next to the embassy. Went there to get my moms passport, we were in and out under an hour. Keep in mind we had all the necessary documents. They take digital fingerprints, no old school ink. A pleasant experience!
Horrible waiting time, its like being in Colombia but in USA territory, literally. Their system its so slow and deficient. Be ready psychologically before going there.
They made us wait for four hours to renounce the ungodly title of Colombian. They sit on their phones telling eachother what they're going to wear on their next date instead of doing their jobs. Please send help, they told us not to eat so we are starving. If anyone is there SOS
This place is so amazing that I told my American boyfriend who is going with me for the first time to Colombia next month that he HAS to go with me when I go pick up the actual passport! It is amazing! And next door is a hidden gem!!! An avíanca store that has airline services, government photo services and a little cafeteria!! Super cute!!!! I was sooooo excited and emotional with the whole experience!!! They even had money order sales for the passport payment and even an ATM so everything was covered for any need you might have!!!! Epitome of Colombian ethics!!So proud of my birth country! The Colombian Consulate is a beautiful, efficient, clean and high tech operation!!! NO 3rd world country as others might call it! Walked out with all my required travel docs in less than 2 hours!!! Angela gave me efficient, courteous and friendly customer service! One stop shop! BEST government office experience ever!!!!!!!!
