I brought my wife to Kindred Hospital Coral Gables and this is the best decision I could have made. The care she hs received is incredible, the love and empathy the staff show towards her is as with a family member. The Rehab department is so dedicated I feel she will be on her feet in no time. The doctors, the nurses, the CNA"s I have no words to express my gratitude to all of them. Thank you Kindred Coral Gables!
My father sustained a TBI 7 months ago. He was transferred from ICU trauma to kindred while still in a vegetative state- being from Key West he was 3 hours from home and family was only able to visit weekends. I was his medical decision maker and had to provide most of his care over the phone as I live many states away in Connecticut. The staff at Kindred was truly incredible. The entire team, the neurologist, the respiratory team, the physicians (Dr. Soto is incredible beyond words and will forever be in my heart), nurses, techs, case manager (Diana), Pharmacist (Delores, you are so kind, patient and wonderful) and the wound nurse (Nancy, you are an angel) all provided top notch care to my father. As an RN myself I found that I was thorough impressed with the care he received- after an interdisciplinary team meeting I had with all of his staff in the conference room during my visit last February I was completely confident in Kindred's ability to provide the best quality care to my father. We weren't sure if my father would ever come out of his state...but because of the intensive and personalized care he received (coupled with incredible communication from his team to me and his family) he is now 7 months later miraculously recovered with no ill deficits from his accident. None. The hospital is in a high traffic area,the building is a bit outdated and the rooms aren't private but for those "superficial flaws" this hospital makes up for it entirely in it's holistic and compassionate approach to care. I will never be able to thank Kindred enough for all you did for my father, and for my family. I only wish I could speak Spanish so I could thank every single member of staff there appropriately. You saved his life...and you gave him back his life, uninjured. Thank you Kindred Coral Gables.
Great place ,worked hard on getting my dad back in top shape
I am very disappointed in this company. My family was at a near by hospital and the representative for this company came in to sell me their hospital. I was stupid enough to believe them without going out and visiting the locations first. The smell! The poor quality of nursing, the doctors that they have and the specialist that are seeing my mom don't even know what's going on. Its a complete mess!!! I'm writing this review to warn all of you who are deceived by the representatives. Go out and see the all of your options. I should have known better that anybody that has to sell their hospital by bad talking the other ones, has some serious problems!!! Sadly I cannot move my mom from here now because it's too late and the insurance will not approve it. I am extremely upset and everybody needs to be warned to go do their homework.
The attention and care at this facilities exceeded my expectations. They truly gave 100% patient care to my mom. The staff were amazing and always going out of there way. The details they input into the patient care are the little touches that make the patient get better. I truly recommend this hospital.
